The Saints defense took another rough blow today as news released that linebacker Chris Chamberlain will miss the season with a torn ACL. With suspensions from Bountygate and appeals ongoing, Chamberlain was expected to compete for a starting position on a team that finished 24th in total defense last season but instead wil be spending the year trying to heal. Chamberlain was signed to a 3-year deal after starting 13 games for the Rams last season and recording 58 solo tackles and 2 sacks.
Saints LB Chris Chamberlain Out For Year: Fantasy Implications
Saints linebacker Chris Chamberlain is out for the year with a torn ACL. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Implications: It's not like Chamberlain was much of a candidate to be drafted in Individual Defensive Player leagues, but the news just gets worse for the New Orleans defense every day which might mean bigger things for the offenses of the Falcons, Panthers, and Buccaneers. The Saints already had a questionable defense before the scandal and now it could be historically bad. Joe Vitt said in a press conference that he was very disappointed to lose Chamberlain because of his versatility to play all three linebacker roles and that they'll have a hard time replacing him.
