The agent for Washington Redskins LB Brian Orakpo tells The Washington Post that an MRI taken Sunday showed no serious damage to Orakpo's left shoulder. Agent Ben Dogra added that he expects Orakpo to be ready for the season-opener Sept. 9 against the New Orleans Saints. Orakpo was seen grabbing his left arm trying to tackle Devin Hester in the first half of Saturday's game against Chicago.
Agent: MRI Shows Nothing Serious on Brian Orakpo’s Left Shoulder: Fantasy Implications
MRI shows no serious damage to Redskins LB Brian Orakpo’s shoulder. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: As the team’s top pass-rusher and sacks leader from last season, Orakpo is one of the most valuable members of Washington’s defense. The fact that he’s not expected to miss any time is good news for fantasy owners considering the Redskins D/ST unit or Orakpo in an IDP league. Washington’s defense might be a good start in some weeks but Orakpo has more value in IDP leagues because of the sack totals he could produce.
