Analysis: Sanchez completed 76.5 percent of his passes in two preseason games, but New York hasn’t managed to put points on the board with the short passing game. The Jets only scored nine points total in two weeks. Nothing seems to be working for the most talked about team in football right now. Tony Sparano likes to run the ball, that’s no secret. However, he’s not going to be able to implement that run-first mentality if opposing defenses are stacking the box every play. This also means fantasy owners won’t see many big plays from Sanchez if he continues the short yardage game, leaving him a mediocre backup for your roster.
