Dan Wiederer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is urging quarterback Christian Ponder to do more head-first diving instead of sliding feet first. In his Monday press conference, Musgrave named Drew Brees and John Elway as players who were successful at diving. Musgrave says he also gave Ponder film to show why that method can be safer.
Christian Ponder Being Urged to Dive Head First: Fantasy Implications
Vikings QB Christian Ponder is reportedly being urged to dive head first instead of sliding feet first. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Ponder had some solid moments as a starter last season, so it would be a shame for him to get hurt on a scramble, regardless of which way he tries to avoid contact. Heading into draft day, Ponder is a fringe No. 2 quarterback who could take a big step forward as long as players like Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin stay healthy. Of course, none of this matters if he takes a big hit to the head and is injured diving for a first down.
