The New York Daily News reports Rex Ryan has no doubt Santonio Holmes will play in the Jets regular season opener. Holmes is participating in non-contact drills in practice today, and there is hope that he will be able to play in New York's third preseason game on Sunday night.
Santonio Holmes Expected To Play In Regular Season Opener: Fantasy Implications
Santonio Holmes is expected to play Week 1 of the regular season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The return of Holmes would be huge for the Jets, who are struggling mightily putting points on the scoreboard so far in preseason. He's one of the few true playmakers on the roster, and even though his speed and talent are often underutilized, Holmes is worth a spot on your team. In 2011 he finished the year with eight touchdowns, and now with Plaxico Burress gone, that number could go up if the Jets ever manage to move the ball. Keep in mind there will surely be drama to accompany his skills, but when he's the only real weapon the Jets have, he at least has some value in your lineup.
