On Monday, the Miami Dolphins have announced that rookie QB Ryan Tannehill will be the starting quarterback for the 2012 season. Tannehill earned the job after outperforming incumbent Matt Moore in preseason, going 25 for 44 with 267 yards and a QB rating of 82.3.
Ryan Tannehill Named Dolphins Starter: Fantasy Implications
The Dolhpins have named rookie QB Ryan Tannehill their regular season starter. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The Dolphins entered training camp with a three-way QB competition between Moore, free agent David Garrard and the 1st-rounder Tannehill. It turned into a two-man race when Garrard went down for the rest of preseason with a knee surgery, and Tannehill's quality performances in the two preseason games all but sealed the deal. Moore should remain as the backup, while Garrard may be released on an injury settlement (as a vested veteran, he's guaranteed $2 million if he makes the 53-man roster). Tannehill is still a rookie, so I wouldn't go rushing to draft him too high or make him my starter, but keeper and dynasty owners should be making bench room for him.
