Tom Brady Not Starting Monday Night Vs. Eagles: Fantasy Implications
Tom Brady is on the bench for the start of Monday night’s game between the Patriots and the Eagles. Ryan Mallett earned the start.

Analysis: Nothing to see here. We're now in the back stretch of preseason, so you can expect coaches around the league to begin shutting down their starters with the regular season approaching. The Pats also want to get a better look at their 2011 draft pick. Mallett is in a competition with Brian Hoyer for the primary backup quarterback spot. Don't take Monday's start as an indication that Mallett has wrapped up the job already, though it's certainly not a bad sign. The second-year QB has gone 20-for-38 passing with a touchdown and an interception in preseason play.
