Nick Foles Impressive In Place Of Injured Michael Vick: Fantasy Implications
Eagles rookies quarterback Nick Foles turned in an impressive performance on Monday night against the Patriots, replacing an injured Michael Vick and throwing for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: With Kafka injured and Vick sidelined by a rib injury early, Foles got a chance to work with the starters and didn’t disappoint. While the Patriots weren’t playing with a majority of their starters, Foles’ performance was still noteworthy in his battle for the Eagles’ backup quarterback job. Vick is a near-lock to miss a few games each season, so playing second fiddle to the nine-year veteran has become a lucrative enterprise. Foles could very well get a chance to start an NFL game this season if he continues to perform. He has shown confidence in the pocket and the same rocket arm that lured the Eagles into spending a third-round pick on him. Has Foles done enough to pass Kafka on the depth chart? We’ll find out soon enough.
