Saints Acquire Barrett Ruud From Seahawks For Draft Pick: Fantasy Implications
The New Orleans Saints have acquired linebacker Barrett Ruud from the Seattle Seahawks for an undisclosed draft pick. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Something had to give in the Seahawks' linebacker group. After drafting heavy at the position in the 2012 NFL Draft, Seattle had more capable linebackers than they could put on the field at one time. With rookie Bobby Wagner outplaying Ruud, the team had the flexibility to pull off a trade and get some value for the 29-year old veteran. Ruud should be able to start in New Orleans, though the situation will get a bit more complicated when Curtis Lofton and David Hawthorne are healthy again.
