Russell Wilson will start for the Seattle Seahawks during Friday night's preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The rookie out of Wisconsin has been very impressive so far in training camp. Through two games he has gone 22-for-31 passing for 279 yards and three touchdowns, albeit against second-team competition.
Russell Wilson To Start For Seahawks Friday: Fantasy Implications
Russell Wilson will start Friday’s preseason game between the Seahawks and the Chiefs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: There is a legitimate quarterback competition happening in Seattle, and while you would be wise to assume that Matt Flynn has the leg-up, head coach Pete Carroll clearly has a lot of faith in the rookie if he's willing to sacrifice reps from the regular season first-team offense. Whoever ultimately emerges as the starter will be difficult to recommend for fantasy purposes until the Seahawks bring on more surrounding talent. Wilson or Flynn could develop into a serviceable QB2 as the season goes on, however.
