Carson Palmer said he would welcome Chad Johnson to the Oakland Raiders in an interview with CSN Bay Area published Wednesday. The two were long time teammates with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Johnson is currently looking for a new home after being cut loose by the Miami Dolphins. Palmer said that a move to add veteran depth isn't necessary, however, and that he's impressed with team's current young wideouts.
Carson Palmer Would Welcome Chad Johnson To Raiders: Fantasy Implications
Carson Palmer said that he would welcome Chad Johnson to the Oakland Raiders. We break down the fantasy implications.

“I had a great time playing with Chad. I had no issues with him at all,” Palmer said. “He’d be a great add for any team but we’ve got young guys that are just coming along. I mean Denarius will be back any day. Jacoby’s deal is not that bad. So we’re not going to give up on any of those guys.
“They’re too good of players and young.”
Analysis: Denarius Moore (hamstring) and Jacoby Ford (foot) are currently sidelined and Darrius Heyward-Bey (shoulder) just returned to practice Tuesday. The Raiders could possibly use a veteran stop-gap in the receiving corps, but whether Johnson is really the man for the job is debatable. Then again, Oakland has never shied away from off field issues in the past. The idea of Johnson in silver and black is certainly an intriguing one, but don't bet on it happening and certainly don't expect Johnson to suddenly shoot up fantasy draft boards as a result.
