Rookie Nick Foles will start at quarterback on Friday against the Cleveland Browns according to Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid. Michael Vick is expected to be sidelined because of bruised ribs, leaving Foles to lead the starting offense instead of the injured Mike Kafka and veteran Trent Edwards. Reid says Foles will play with the first-team offense for a quarter and could play as much as a half. Edwards is expected to play the rest of the game.
Nick Foles To Start At QB For Eagles Friday: Fantasy Implications
Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles will start Friday’s preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Foles has played fairly well in the preseason, so it’s not a surprise that he will get a chance to start with Vick injured. The Eagles need to find out if they have someone who can relieve Vick because he hasn’t played all 16 games in either season as Philadelphia’s starter. There isn’t much reason for fantasy owners to target Foles right now, as Vick is expected to be ready to begin the regular season.
