Tim Hightower To Play Saturday v. Colts: Fantasy Implications
Washington Redskins running back Tim Hightower will play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Washington Redskins are expected to know more Thursday whether running back Tim Hightower will play Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts. Hightower practiced in pads for the first time Wednesday and coach Mike Shanahan tells The Washington Post that Hightower's performance Thursday should give coaches an indication if he can play against the Colts. Hightower tore his ACL last season and is trying to work his way back into Washington's running back rotation.
Analysis: Hightower started five games last season for the Redskins, so it would make sense for the team to give him every chance to earn playing time. His competition is Royster and Roy Helu, who has been bothered by tendinitis in both Achilles' tendons. If Hightower proves he is ready to play, he could move up in some fantasy rankings among owners looking for a bargain in later rounds.
