It has not been decided if Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best will start the season on the physically unable to perform list, but coach Jim Schwartz isn't ruling it out. According to MLive.com, Schwartz says placing Best on the PUP list would give the team some time. If that decision is made, Best would have to miss the first six games of the regular season. Best is still recovering from a concussion he suffered last season.
Lions Haven’t Made Decision Yet On Jahvid Best: Fantasy Implications
The Detroit Lions aren’t ruling out opening the season with running back Jahvid Best on the physically unable to perform list. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: There have been reports that Best will likely start the season on the PUP list, and this does nothing to contradict them. Fantasy owners should not be looking at Best to help their teams at this point. Detroit will probably have to go with Kevin Smith to open the season and then work in Mikel Leshoure, who is suspended for the first two games of the regular season.
