Dallas Cowboys undrafted free agent running back Jamize Olawale has taken full advantage of the injury to backup Phillip Tanner. Olawale has 22 preseason carries for 72 yards over the first two games, while Tanner is recovering from a broken hand. A converted wide receiver out of North Texas, Olawale might seem like a longshot, but the longer Tanner is out the more of an opportunity to display how quickly he's learned his new position. Tanner was an undrafted free agent last year that made the team after rushing for 128 yards in the preseason, but his spot is in jeopardy now.
Cowboys RB Jamize Olawale Impressing Coaches: Fantasy Implications
Running back Jamize Olawale is impressing coaches after being converted to running back this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Implications: Any news from the running back position is important news, even if it's not the immediate backup position. DeMarco Murray didn't start last season out as the starter and is now one of the top fantasy backs in the NFL and Felix Jones has been very unimpressive in training camp and preseason. It's very important to keep an eye on who makes the final roster in Dallas, whether it's Olawale or Tanner. The opportunity to start could come up at any time this season.
