The Buffalo Bills have placed backup nose tackle Torell Troup on IR, according to Tim Graham. The 2010 2nd-rounder underwent spinal fusion surgery last December and has been slow to recover, not being able to participate in any summer drills or training camp. The backup NT duties will fall to Spencer Johnson and Dwan Edwards, with Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams established as the starters.
Bills Place DT Torell Troup On Injured Reserve: Fantasy Implications
The Bills have shut down backup NT Torell Troup’s season before it even began. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: After playing 15 games his rookie year, Troup only played in six combined games in 2011, providing minimal impact before being shut down in November. His injury is another blow to the Bills' 2010 draft, GM Buddy Nix' first draft with the team. Only C.J. Spiller and Arthur Moats remain from that draft with definite roles on the team, as the others are either cut, injured or on the roster bubble. Don't expect this news to affect the Bills' fantasy defense stock one way or the other.
