Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News has confirmed that New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes will be playing in Sunday's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Holmes has battled various rib, back and hamstring ailments through most of training camp, sat out the last preseason game, and is expected to only see "limited action" on Sunday. The Jets offense has sputtered in August, having not scored a single offensive touchdown.
Santonio Holmes Will Play Sunday: Fantasy Implications
The Jets expect WR Santonio Holmes to return to the field on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: A healthy Holmes will be a welcome addition to this Jets offense, but with the ongoing QB circus, questionable running game and turnstile offensive line, it may not matter who’s lining up at WR on this team. Combine those problems with a notoriously prickly talent like Holmes and we may have a recipe for disaster in New York. If you think he’ll still be a fantasy producer in spite of all that, more power to you. I’d rather stay far away.
