Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox has been placed on the reserve/PUP. Knox will now miss at least the first six games, but he is expected to miss the entire 2012 season. He had spinal fusion surgery and the rehab will continue to be a work in progress throughout the season. The Bears are still holding out hope about his 2012 prospects, but the outlook is not positive.
Bears Place Johnny Knox On PUP: Fantasy Implications
Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox has been placed on the reserve/PUP. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Johnny Knox has been a solid fantasy performer over the years, but this season he will likely be put on the shelf. Jay Cutler will still have a few capable weapons to throw to. The Bears traded for Brandon Marshall this offseason, and Cutler will certainly benefit from that. Rookie receiver Alshon Jeffery has also been impressive this preseason, so the Bears' passing offense should actually take a step forward in 2012, despite the absence of Knox.
