Peyton Manning Looks Healthy In Impressive Outing: Fantasy Implications

Peyton Manning looked like an NFL MVP on Sunday by completing 10 of his 12 passes for 122 yards and two scores. Those stats were good for a passer rating of 148.6.

Analysis: If you're scoring at home, he would have put up the perfect rating of 158.3 had his yards per attempt had been 2.3 higher. Manning was very accurate on all but one of his throws and the plays that were drawn up looked to be extremely successful. Especially the second TD to Eric Decker on a corner route. Manning didn't quite have the zip on the ball that we were accustom to, but he his best most crisp ball came on the 12-yard out route to Decker.There's certainly a lot of risk in taking Manning, however, the upside might be enough to outweigh the concerns. If Manning is able to slip in your draft to QB10 or so, he'd be a great value. That's probably not going to happen with the amount of press this performance will receive.
