49ers QB Alex Smith Continues Precise 2012 Exhibition: Fantasy Implications
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith has had a strong preseason in 2012. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Alex Smith has been extremely accurate this preseason, hopefully foreshadowing the coming season. This preseason, Smith is 13-for-19, for 134 yards, two touchdowns and zero picks. Smith is displaying his accuracy, good decision-making and ability to take care of the football better than any QB in the league. This gives Smith fantasy value because his points will be all profit -- he won’t be negating them with foolish interceptions or lost fumbles. He is also now surrounded by playmakers who can score for virtually anywhere on the field. Smith is in a position to have a career-year in 2012. He is definitely worth a bench spot in most league’s and could be valuable playing match-ups.
