Matthew Stafford Suffers Broken Blood Vessel, Expected To Be Ready For Week 1: Fantasy Implications
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to be ready for the season-opener after breaking a blood vessel in his left hand on Saturday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: There is no reason to adjust Stafford's position in quarterback rankings. He threw for more than 5,000 yards last season and should be a Top 5 fantasy quarterback this season. He will again be counted on to do a lot because the Lions still don't have a settled answer at running back, so look for Stafford to have to find Calvin Johnson and others in the passing game. That will be good for fantasy owners who drafted Stafford early banking on another big season with the Lions.
