The Jets kicking competition drew to an end on Sunday night. Nick Folk connected on three fields goals against the Panthers, while Josh Brown went 1 of 2 on the night. New York released Brown afterwards, giving the duties to Folk for 2012.
Josh Brown Release Boosts Fantasy Football Stock For Nick Folk
Josh Brown will not be kicking for the New York Jets this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: In three games this preseason the Jets have failed to score a single touchdown. Fortunately for Folk, though, New York has kicked seven field goals in those three matchups. The stagnant offense actually could prove to be beneficial for fantasy owners, as field goals apparently are the only way the Jets can put points on the board. Folk only attempted 25 field goals last season, making 19 of those over the course of the year. He did rank towards the top of the league in extra points made, but owners will not mind if those numbers lean in favor of field goals this time around.
