Minnesota Vikings DE Jared Allen says a play that was scored as a team sack in Green Bay last season should have been credited to him and given him the NFL's single-season sack record. Allen made the remark to USA Today but added that he can recall several other potential sacks slipping through his grasp. Allen finished last season with 22 sacks, 13 1/2 of those coming against the NFC North.
Vikings, Fantasy Owners Look For Another Big Season From Jared Allen
The Minnesota Vikings are looking for another big season from DE Jared Allen. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: It would be hard to imagine a pass rusher having a much better season than Allen did in 2011. The Vikings will be counting on him to help anchor the defense and fantasy owners in IDP leagues. Clearly Allen is an elite player in leagues that require a defensive lineman and should be among the first defensive players taken. The Vikings, however, as a D/ST unit are no more than a week-to-week matchup team.
