Mike Mularkey said on Monday that he definitely expects Rashad Jennings to be the starter when Week 1 of the regular season arrives. With Maurice Jones-Drew still holding out, Jennings has been the No. 1 running back for the Jaguars throughout the preseason.
Rashad Jennings Starter Status Gives Huge Increase In Fantasy Football Value
Rashad Jennings is expected to be the starter in Jacksonville for the first regular season game of 2012. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The saga of MJD adds a new chapter each day. First he wanted a trade, next he was okay with staying put and now he looks like an afterthought to his head coach. Jennings played well in the first three games on the 2012 preseason, tallying up 36 carries for 175 yards. His 4.86 yards per touch surely look enticing to fantasy owners. There is no competition behind him, so Jennings could be a RB2 if he keeps up this rate, given the fact Mularkey loved to run the ball in Atlanta. However, this all changes the minute Jones-Drew returns to the field, so pay close attention to his status.
