Report: Redskins trade DB Kevin Barnes To Lions: Fantasy Implications
Defensive back Kevin Barnes has reportedly been traded to the Detroit Lions from the Washington Redskins. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: This does little to boost the value of Detroit's defense from a fantasy standpoint. Barnes played inside last season for the Redskins but was moved to back the outside during training camp this summer. The move appears to clear the way for rookie Richard Crawford, who has played well for Washington. Barnes will join a defense that made big plays last season but also allowed lots of passing yards. Barnes might be able to help out, but fantasy owners shouldn't adjust their ranking of the Lions as a D/ST unit because of this move. The Lions are a fringe starting fantasy defense in most weeks.
