ESPN 1500 has revealed that Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson took hits in practice for the first time Monday, a big step in his recovery from ACL surgery. Coach Leslie Frazier was feeling good enough about Peterson's ability to take contact and felt upbeat after practice: "It was good to see. Guys thud him (hit him but didn't tackle him) and it seemed like he handled it pretty well. I'm sure he'll be a little bit sore tomorrow when he wakes up."

Analysis: Frazier is still noncommittal about Peterson's Week 1 availability, saying "I want to see what he has to say after what we did today. Then we need to go through a full week with him in the game plan to see how he responds." It's still a delicate situation for AP, so fantasy owners should be handcuffing him to Toby Gerhart.
