San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs is no longer using crutches but he is still walking with a limp, according to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. Jacobs injured his knee on Aug. 18 in a preseason game against the Houston Texans. The 49ers signed Jacobs back in March to serve as a short yardage back. He scored eight total touchdowns a year ago, but has proven to have trouble with injuries in the past.
Brandon Jacobs Still Limping Around: Fantasy Implications
San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs is no longer using crutches but he is still walking with a limp. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Brandon Jacobs is part of a crowded backfield in San Francisco. In addition to Jacobs, the 49ers brought in LaMichael James and still have Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter on the depth chart. It will take an injury or two to allow Jacobs to get enough of a role to be a relevant fantasy option. Given his injury, I'm not sure Jacobs is worth drafting in any format.
