Jermaine Gresham earned some lofty praise from Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Grufen, who compared the tight end to Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots, at least from a physical standpoint.
Jermaine Gresham Fantasy Football Could Rise After Earning Lofty Comparison From Coach
Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden compared Jermaine Gresham to Rob Gronkowski when asked if Gresham could play a similar role in his offense. We break down the fantasy implications.

“Athletically and talent-wise, yes,” Gruden said. “He’s comparable.”
Gresham could be in line for an expanded role, with the Bengals in need of someone to draw attention away from A.J. Green. The third-year tight end is still behind Gronkowski in terms of his ability to see the field and read coverages, Gruden said.
Analysis: Gresham caught 34 fewer passes and 11 fewer touchdowns than Gronkowski less season, so it would be insane to expect him to close the gap entirely. Still, he could approach 70 catches, 800 yards and 7-8 touchdowns, which would be more than serviceable for a starting tight end.
