The Baltimore Ravens are set at RB with fantasy superstar Ray Rice, but the backup situation behind him is less clear heading into Thursday's preseason finale. Most teams will be resting their first-team starters tonight, and the Ravens are no different, as the Baltimore Sun reports that RB Bernard Pierce will be getting the start against the St. Louis Rams. The third-round pick has been in a camp battle with UDFA Bobby Rainey for the No. 2 spot.
Ravens RB Bernard Pierce Hopes To Spark Fantasy Interest With Extended Playing Time Thursday
Most of the Ravens starters are sitting out tonight’s preseason game, giving Bernard Pierce an opportunity to stand out. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Pierce appears to be winning the battle so far, but Rainey has won over coaches in camp and seems destined to make the 53-man roster, possibly splitting time with Pierce in tonight’s game. Rice is a durable back and it’s not crucial that you handcuff him, but should the unthinkable happen, look for Pierce as a late-round or waiver wire flier.
