The Pittsburgh Steelers don't have a clear starter at running back, and Jonathan Dwyer didn't make things any easier Thursday night. Dwyer played the first half against the Panthers and had 63 yards on 13 attempts, good for 4.8 yards per carry. He'll finish the preseason with 147 yards and an impressive 5.2 YPC. With Rashard Mendenhall not expected to come back before October, Dwyer's main competition for the job is Isaac Redman, who's been slowed by injuries throughout training camp and preseason.

Analysis: In all likelihood, the Steelers may split carries between Redman and Dwyer until Mendenhall comes back, as neither player has run away with the starting job. But with Pittsburgh’s O-line once again banged up, I wouldn’t recommend you draft either player, though Dwyer at least has some upside as a late-round/waiver wire pickup in deeper leagues.
