The Lions kept their offense balanced throughout Thursday night's matchup against the Bills, and Mike Leshoure saw a fair amount of action in the run game. Leshoure wasn't able to make much happen, though, as he carried the ball 15 times for just 43 yards. A 2-yard touchdown plunge helped his cause a little.

Mikel Leshoure only averaged 2.9 yards per carry against the Bills in the final game of preseason for Detroit. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Detroit isn't going to be handing the ball off this often in comparison to the aerial attack this season. Leshoure had his chance tonight to really wow his coaches, but that didn't quite happen. He managed to take a screen pass 33 yards, setting up his lone touchdown in the first quarter. However, averaging under three yards per carry will not get you far in the NFL. Kevin Smith is still the back to own in Detroit at this point. Leshoure will have an opportunity to change things when he returns from suspension.
