Per league tradition, the Oakland Raiders rested most of their starters in the Thursday preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks, with QB Carson Palmer only playing one series. Backup Matt Leinart played the rest of the first half and struggled terribly, going only 3 for 11 with a paltry 14 yards and one interception. He was later replaced with Terrelle Pryor in the 3rd quarter.
Matt Leinart Sinks Fantasy Value With Miserable Preseason Performance
Matt Leinart and the Raiders had no answer for the Seahawks defense Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The Raiders QB situation is pretty ghastly. Palmer is a shell of his former self, but he’s the starter because the old front office paid a fortune for him and they don’t really have anyone else. Leinart has thrown only 13 pass attempts in two years, and at age 29, any hopes of him reaching the same heights as at USC are long gone. As for Pryor, to call him a “project QB” is a gross euphemism. Avoid this unit in your fantasy drafts at all costs.
