QB David Garrard's roster spot may be secure after all. Despite speculation that he'll get an injury settlement from the Miami Dolphins, Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports that Garrard is still on the roster "for the time being." Garrard missed the entire preseason with a knee scope surgery on August 9th, and has been slow to recover after an initial 2-4 week timetable. He's competing with Matt Moore for the No. 2 QB spot behind rookie Ryan Tannehill.
David Garrard Still On Dolphins Roster For Now: Fantasy Implications
The Dolphins are planning to keep David Garrard on the roster for now, creating a more complicated QB logjam than expected. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Pretty odd that the Dolphins would hold on to a 34-year-old QB with back and knee problems who hasn't taken a meaningful snap in about two years. This move probably means that they have little faith in Moore as the backup. They could either shop Moore to other teams or try to sneak Pat Devlin on the practice squad rather than keep 4 QBs on the final roster. We'll keep monitoring the situation throughout the day.
