The Houston Texans have waived QB Case Keenum as part of their final roster cuts Friday, reports John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. Keenum was a local hero after setting multiple NCAA passing records at the University of Houston, but went undrafted amid questions about his size and ability to transition to a pro-style offense. He played sparingly in the preseason, going 8 for 16 for 96 yards.
Case Keenum Waived By Texans: Fantasy Implications
Case Keenum’s NFL career is off to a rough start as he was waived by his hometown team. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: No big surprise here. Keenum was competing with John Beck for the No. 3 QB spot behind Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates, but he was always a longshot to make the regular season roster. The Texans still like what they saw from him in OTAs and training camp, so he's expected to clear waivers and join the practice squad. Keenum has a long uphill battle to making it in the NFL, much less making any fantasy impact.
