The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade quarterback Mike Kafka after he was passed on the depth chart by Trent Edwards, according to Jeff McLane. Kafka suffered an injury early on in the preseason and never caught up to the other Philly quarterbacks. Nick Foles played well in the time he got this preseason, earning the backup job, and Trent Edwards proved to be more reliable than Kafka, unseating him as the third quarterback.
Eagles Trying To Trade Mike Kafka: Fantasy Implications
The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade quarterback Mike Kafka after he was passed on the depth chart by Trent Edwards. We break down the fantasy implications.

UPDATE: The Eagles have waived Mike Kafka.
Analysis: Michael Vick will start on kickoff weekend for the Eagles, but with his injury history, the other quarterbacks will have to be ready. Foles, a third round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, appeared to be a capable backup this preseason, but Trent Edwards may not have the same ability. Foles is worth stashing in very deep, two-quarterback leagues because of Vick's injury history. I doubt the Eagles will get anything for Kafka, and he presents no fantasy value wherever he lands.
