The Buffalo Bills trimmed their roster down to 53 players Friday, and did some of their most significant cutting within the wide receiver corps. The Bills will open the regular season with five wideouts: Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, T.J. Graham and WR/QB hybrid Brad Smith. Kamar Aiken, Marcus Easley, Derek Hagan, Ruvell Martin and Naaman Roosevelt were sent packing.
Bills Cut All But 5 Receivers, Leave Stevie Johnson As Top Fantasy Target
The Bills kept five wide receivers after roster cuts Friday: Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, T.J. Graham and WR/QB hybrid Brad Smith. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The Bills cut some quality wideouts, so either they really like their current starters or, as the Buffalo News points out, there is potential move for a free agent in the hopper. We’ll see how that shakes out. For now, Johnson is the clear Bills wideout to target in fantasy leagues. He has shown a penchant for red zone work, making him a solid source of touchdowns. Jones appears to lead for the team’s No. 2 receiving spot, making him a potentially overlooked WR3 target in fantasy drafts.
