DeAngelo Williams failed to make any impact for the Panthers in their regular season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The seventh-year running back carried the ball six times for a total of -1 yards while catching just one pass on the afternoon.
DeAngelo Williams Puts In Terrible Fantasy Performance Against Buccaneers
DeAngelo Williams had a horrible outing for his first game of the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: With Jonathan Stewart out for the first week of the 2012 season, fantasy owners surely expected big things from Williams this week. Unfortunately they were all sorely disappointed to witness arguably the worst performance in his entire NFL career. The Panthers failed to get anything going on the ground, so it wasn't just Williams struggling throughout. Carolina finished with an unbelievable 10 yards total on the ground. Tampa Bay allowed the most rushing yards per game last season, so this isn't exactly the start the Panthers were looking for.
