Indianapolis Colts DE/OLB Dwight Freeney had an MRI on his ankel Monday, and coach Chuck Pagano seems optimistic, telling reporters he anticipates "getting him back sooner as opposed to later." Freeney left Sunday's game against the Bears in the first quarter with an ankle sprain.
Colts Expect Dwight Freeney Back Soon: Fantasy Implications
The Colts don’t expect Dwight Freeney (ankle) to be out for long. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Pagano has expressed this kind of bountless optimism before -- he was bullish on Austin Collie playing in Week 1 right before the receiver was deactivated -- so we may have to wait for news from a more reliable narrator on Freeney. The Colts' pass rush dried up with him out, allowing Jay Cutler to feast on their poor secondary. If he's out for any extended time, it could be another long year for this defense.
