Joe Flacco is trying work out a new contract with the Baltimore Ravens as he currently plays out the final season of his five-year rookie deal. While negotiations stalled in the offseason, Flacco more than proved his value by going 21-for-29 passing for 299 yards and two touchdowns during Monday's season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Now his price tag may be rising.
Joe Flacco Stock Rising, Fantasy And Otherwise
Joe Flacco’s may be driving up the price tag on his new contract with the Ravens after passing for 299 yards and two touchdowns Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

“Yeah, I’m not worried about my contract, that’s exactly why,” Flacco said. “As time goes by, I don’t see myself getting any cheaper. So, we’ll see how that goes.”
Analysis: Flacco was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts, and there is no doubt that if he was available on waivers in your league that is on longer the case. Flacco has been hyped before, however, and over the past four seasons he has always regressed back to the mean. Things could be different this year with the Ravens running no-huddle, but be careful not to be overly bullish until he establishes a trend of solid play.
