Stevan Ridley told the Boston Herald that he anticipates a heavy workload going forward with the New England Patriots, along plenty of visits to the cold tub thanks to his downhill running style.
Stevan Ridley Anticipates Heavy Workload: Fantasy Implications
Stevan Ridley says he anticipates carrying a heavy workload for the Patriots going forward. We break down the fantasy implications.

“You can’t play the position being scared,” Ridley said. “You’re going to take a lot of contact, but as a runner, if you can try to deliver the blow instead of taking the hit, I think your career might last a little bit longer. That’s kind of my philosophy running the ball. I’m trying to get downhill and deliver the punch instead of taking all the beatings.”
Analysis: The more confident Ridley is, the better for his fantasy prospects, though there is still some question as to what the return of Shane Vereen means to the Patriots. Vereen returned to the Pats on Wednesday, albeit in a limited fashion. He could steal carries once he is fully healthy, though just how many is unknown. Expect Bill Belichick to keep it that way.
