Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton was held out of practice today with his ankle injury and has been ruled out after speculation earlier that he might still be able to start. Furthermore, it appears that Kevin Kolb has been named the starter even after Skelton is able to return from his injury, unless he loses it again.
John Skelton Misses Practice And Won’t Play This Week, No Fantasy Value
John Skelton will not play against the Patriots this week, and may have lost his starting job to Kevin Kolb anyway. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: The Cardinals have a good matchup for Kolb this week against the Patriots, but there are still likely 12-14 better QB options. Kolb marched down the field with good pocket presence and poise in a game-winning 80-yard drive against the Seahawks in week 1, but he's still got a long ways to go to prove he's a viable starting quarterback. It was only a couple of weeks ago that he lost the job to Skelton, after all.
