Alex Smith Provides Solid Fantasy Value In Week 2
Alex Smith went 20-for-31 passing for 231 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Lions. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Smith may have found a favorite deep threat in Davis. Both touchdowns were from 21 and 23 yards out of the end zone. The Niners’ emphasis on the running game means that Smith may never be an elite fantasy option in standard leagues. He proved Sunday that he can hold his own as a potential backup or QB2 in deeper leagues if need be, however.
