The Washington Redskins could be without linebacker Brian Orakpo for at least Week 3 and defensive end Adam Carriker may be lost for the season because of a torn quad, Jason La Canfora reports. Orakpo said after Sunday's loss (via The Washington Post) that he re-injured the pectoral muscle that he had surgery on in the offseason. Coach Mike Shanahan said Carriker was scheduled to have an MRI on Monday but admitted that Carriker's injury didn't look good. Washington plays the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3.
Redskins Defense Loses Fantasy Value With Injuries To Brian Orakpo, Adam Carriker
The Washington Redskins are dealing with two serious injuries on defense heading into Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Orakpo and Carriker are big parts of Washington's defense, which had done fairly well in the first two weeks of the season. Both players missed significant time in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams and it showed in the second half. Fantasy owners in IDP leagues will likely need a backup plan for Orakpo and the Redskins as a D/ST unit should probably not be used in Week 3.
