Bears head coach Lovie Smith said on Monday that Matt Forte does not have a high ankle sprain as previously believed. Forte is still sore, but assuming Smith is telling the truth, fantasy owners will get Chicago's No. 1 runner back in their lineups sooner that expected.
Matt Forte Ankle Injury News Good Sign For Fantasy Owners
Matt Forte does not appear to have a high ankle sprain. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: This is a big plus for Forte owners. High ankle sprains typically sideline players for several weeks, so if Forte just has a standard sprain, he won't miss much playing time. The Bears did add Kahlil Bell to the rest over the weekend, so the chances of Forte playing in Week 3 appear to be extremely slim. Still, there's hope now that he will suit up for Week 4 barring any setbacks.
