The Washington Redskins have announced, via John Keim, that OLB Brian Orakpo (torn pectoral) and DE Adam Carriker (torn quad) are both done for the season. Orakpo re-injured his pec muscle in Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, the same muscle that was injured last season and required extensive offseason surgery. Carriker tore his quad early in the same game.
Brian Orakpo, Adam Carriker Out For Season: Fantasy Implications
The Redskins defense suffered a huge blow as Brian Orakpo and Adam Carriker are shut down for the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Orakpo's injury was initially pegged as week-to-week this morning, so to shut him down for the season means his tear is much worse than feared. He clearly wasn't 100% healthy. This is a huge blow to the Redskins, losing their best pass rusher and an expensive offseason acquisition in Carriker. Fantasy IDP players and WAS D/ST owners should be hunting for upgrades this week as the Cincinnati Bengals come to town.
