New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez is definitely out for Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens, reports James Walker of ESPN Boston, and may not return until October at the earliest. Hernandez left Sunday's game against the Cardinals in the first quarter and did not return. He was later spotted in crutches and a walking boot.
Aaron Hernandez Out Until October, Dealing Big Blow To Fantasy Owners
Aaron Hernandez is out for a few weeks with an ankle sprain. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: The Pats didn't specify what kind of injury Hernandez suffered, but there's good reason to believe it's a high ankle sprain, one of the most dreaded injuries a receiver could suffer. Regardless, it's a massive blow to fantasy owners, who will have to scramble to replace the Top 5 TE. It's now up to Wes Welker and Julian Edelman to keep the attention off Rob Gronkowski.
