Julian Edelman Fantasy Stock Rising Over Wes Welker Controversy
Julian Edelman saw more snaps than Wes Welker during Sunday’s game between the Patriots and the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: The "controversy" has been blown out of proportion when you consider that Welker was targeted significantly more often (11 times to six) and still had a productive day with 95 yards on five receptions. Still, it's clear that the Pats like what Edelman brings to the table, enough that felt they could start him over Welker against the Cardinals. Edelman may be worth a speculative pickup off waivers in deeper leagues. For now, consider Welker the much better prospect, especially with Aaron Hernandez sidelined for the foreseeable future.
