Steve Smith's knee is reportedly okay after he was forced to briefly leave the second half of Sunday's game between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints due to his bothersome injured right knee, according to the Charlotte Observer. Smith was limited in practice throughout last week, and was listed as questionable heading into Week 2.
Steve Smith Knee Injury OK, Fantasy Football Value Still High
Steve Smith’s says his tender right knee is okay despite the fact that he had to briefly leave Sunday’s game between the Panthers and Saints. We break down the fantasy implications.

“I’ve been fortunate I haven’t had knee problems. It’s just one of those things, a little soreness. But just trying to, as they say, throw some Tussin on it and keep going,” Smith said after the game.
Fantasy Impact: Smith had three receptions for 104 yards during the win, including a 66-yarder. He was chased down on the play, however, showing that he still isn’t 100 percent. While he had to get his right knee checked during the game, he was ultimately able to return. Smith’s Week 3 playing status appears safe, though his fantasy value could take a hit as long as he isn’t at full speed.
