Ryan Mallett Wins The Backup QB Job: Fantasy Implications
Ryan Mallett won the number two quarterback job. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: The sophomore had a bit of an underwhelming preseason by only completing 52 percent of his passes and had a laughable 4.4 YPA in the four games. It wasn't good, but it was good enough to edge Brian Hoyer. He would obviously need Tom Brady to go down, but he would be equipped with one of the better receiving corps in the league and a pass-happy offensive coordinator. For what it's worth, the Patriots will take on Dolphins in Week 17 and should have the AFC East locked up for that finale. If Brady does go down, Mallett would become a hot pickup even though he has looked off this preseason.
