Analysis: The probable tag is really just a formality and Witten is expected to play. The Bucs don’t have a strong D, but their linebackers and safeties are certainly better than average when it comes to covering tight ends.
Rookie Lavonte David on the weak side and Mason Foster over the middle should be able to prevent Witten from getting open down the field. Plus they also have Mark Barron at strong safety to also help on the Pro Bowl tight end. It's not really a good idea to carry a second TE unless you need to, so Witten owners should still probably start him.
